Ex 4
For this experiment was more like a muck around with one image I was more fascinated in the way the image default and the way it abstracted the body form but also still delivering a idea of a Samoan female with bold confidence not just in her self but also her culture.
Ex 3
This experiment was one of my favorites I like how the image mirrored and with the extra effect of the light I think worked well and is something that Ill be experimenting with more. What worked for me in this experiment was the patterns on her lava'lava I think it plays a really symbolic reference to the fa'a samoa. I think that having her whole body form in the picture was also a good aspect with the way she is presenting her self it looks bold and confident but not too raveling as if she is saying that she is comfortable with who she is and her culture.
Ex 2
I found a success in this experiment with the second photo where her arm is red it shows sings of strength and boldness it reminded me of a samoan Godess her name is Nafa'nua she was a godess of war she a well known godess in the Fa'a samoa and a legend in Polynesian mythology.
Nafanua is a titled woman known throughout Samoa as a Toa/ Toa Tama'ita'i or Warrior Princess. She was bestowed the title because she avenged her uncle as well as bringing peace to Savai'i through winning the wars. Her village was located on the western side of the island of Savai’i.
This experiment is one image mirrored, I think it worked well but I rather work with the original image.
Ex 1
This experiment is a photo mirrored and patterns and print are add to it. The 3rd image is the successful one from me. The triangle patterns worked well with the blank space and also reference the idea of malu patterns. A ma'lu is a symbol of strengths and power which was someting I wanted to show in my work.
Malu is a word in the Samoan language for a female-specific tattoo of cultural significance.[1] The malu covers the legs from just below the knee to the upper thighs just below the buttocks, and is typically finer and delicate in design compared to the pe'a, the equivalent tattoo for males.

The amazing “Visionary Art Project” was produced by stylist Mia Morgan and makeup/body paint artist Georgina Billington.
Working in collaboration with photographer Lindsay Adler, they create “images that inspire people to awaken”.
They are currently running a Kickstarter campaign to fund finishing the series. A total of 20 images will be produced and selected to be exhibited in the Mark Borghi gallery in Bridgehampton at the beginning of August with a launch party for Visionary Arts Project.
“We aim to create jaw dropping, avant garde, interstellar, surreal art that taps into the viewers consciousness. Creating a bridge between fashion, beauty and consciousness we produce fine art prints, fashion, lifestyle and home goods. Each unique design is created with a different concept based on sacred geometry, Shamanism and ancient wisdom with our own personal fashion, beauty esthetic.”

Experiment / Mercy
The three photos on top are my most strongest photos out of this experiment.
Black and White
working with the lai

This was a photography session I had with my sister at Home. I think it went well but it was hard to move around and work with the space we had at home.
what worked: I was happy to find out that my sister was happy to to be my module.
what didn't work: I was disappointed with the light I wasn't able to sync it to the camera so I had to shoot a different way and I didn't really like the way the photos came through.
Raoul Hausmann
Raoul Hausmann was one of the leading Dadaist, and early experimenter of all things art and politics, and especially in these photos, exploring the nature of body as art. Known for his writing and collage work, these have a more subtle appeal, and a beauty in shade and shadow. From our research, most of these appear to have been shot in the 1930s.

Anton Belovodchenko
Bodyscapes: Nude Photography
Anton Belovodchenko’s Bodyscapes series of photographic female nudes document the details of his models’ contorted positions. The portraits are black and white and this simple form allows the viewer to appreciate the female anatomy without distraction. The positions create uncommon imagery such as emphasized spinal columns, prominent ribs or flexed muscles.
